Mechanism of Injury to Right Brachial Plexus - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit illustrates the movement that creates the situation in which the shoulder is caught and the brachial plexus is stretched. The top images include a sagittal section showing the infant being pulled down and outwards while the shoulder is caught against the pubic symphysis and a zoomed inset of the damaged brachial plexus. The bottom image further illustrates how the infant is taken out in a downwards lateral motion from a head on view.
