This medical exhibit will consist of six illustrations on a single exhibit. The first pair of illustration are the gastrointestinal tract from the inferior (lower) stomach to the rectum. The small intestines are mobilized superiorly (upward) so that the entire sigmoid colon is visible. The second pair of illustration are identical to the first illustrations, except that the sigmoid colon s malformed, the sigmoid colon is mobilized inferiorly (downward), and the distal end of the sigmoid colon is folded into the rectum, and a dissection has been carried out through the layers of the peritoneum to expose the ureter. The third pair of illustration is identical to the first illustration, except that the sigmoid colon has been removed and the descending colon is diagonal and anastomosed to the rectum.
