Attempted Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit depicts a diseased gallbladder and its surrounding anatomy. It depicts the outcome from a normal laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedure versus a laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedure that had to be terminated due to an inaccurate placement of a clamp on the common duct which was meant for the bile duct. A subcostal incision is made to enter and correct the perforation to the common duct changing the outcome originally presented for this patient.
