Congenital Hip Dysplasia (Dislocated Hip). The first image depicts an overall orientation of a baby with the dislocated hip bones superimposed as an x-ray film. The second image depicts the normal anatomy of the pelvic bones showing the extensive cartilage framework of an infant's hips and femoral heads. A final image displays the abnormally shallow acetabulum, or hip socket, and dislocation of both femoral heads.
