Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), Cut-away View - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit accurately depicts an anteriorly displaced articular disc (meniscus) in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) from a lateral (side) cut-away view. Cut-away is seen through the TMJ capsule, articular eminence of the maxilla and the mandibular condyle. In this view the articular disc is clearly displaced anteriorly, forward, and is highlighted by an arrow for emphasis.
