Right Arm Crush Injuries - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit begins with one anterior view of the right hand, wrist and forearm and one cross sectional view of the forearm. These images illustrated the normal anatomy offering an overall orientation to the anatomy of concern in this case. The anterior view is shown semitransparent clearly revealing the arteries, veins and nerves beneath the skin. The cross sectional view shows the various layers of tissue from the skin down to the bones including the muscles, vessels and nerves in this region. rnrnThe right side of the exhibit features one exterior view and one skeletal view of the right hand, wrist and forearm illustrating the post-accident condition. The exterior view clearly reveals the severe soft tissue injuries and degloving. The skeletal view reveals the underlying fractures of the fingers, hand and forearm. An inset view of one of the actual post-accident x-rays is included.
