Progression of Laryngeal Cancer - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This exhibit begins with with one profile portrait of the head, neck and upper torso in a supine position as if lying on an operating table. The anatomy of the larynx and airway are shown transparently beneath the skin. This image shows the gloved hands of the surgeon inserting the laryngoscope through the mouth and down into the larynx. Also, four circular images reveal the view of the larynx and vocal cords through the laryngoscope. These four images compare the laryngeal cancer at Stage I, Stage II, Stage III and Stage IV.
