Post-operative Condition: After Large Hiatal Hernia Repair - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This illustration consist of a front view of an upper female torso who previously had most of the stomach, transverse colon, omentum and part of the mesentery within a sac inside the thoracic cavity deforming the organs of the thoracic cavity. The surgical repair include meticulous dissection to release the abdominal structures back into the abdominal cavity, repair of the esophageal hiatus and a Nissen fundoplication procedure.
