This exhibit depicts an epidural mass effect secondary to right L4-L5 disc herniation osteophyte with right L5 radiculopathy. A microscope is used to perform surgical decompression of the L5 nerve root. A cautery is used to free the nerve root from adhesions, the extruded disc material is removed and a right sided laminotomy is performed.
