Normal Anatomy, Pre-operative and Post-operative Conditions - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit will consist of three illustrations on a single exhibit. The first illustration is the gastrointestinal tract from the inferior (lower) stomach to the rectum. The small intestines are mobilized superiorly (upward) so that the entire sigmoid colon is visible. The second illustration is identical to the first illustration, except that the small intestines are mobilized superiorly (upward), the sigmoid colon is mobilized inferiorly (downward), and the distal end of the sigmoid colon is folded into the rectum, and a dissection has been carried out through the layers of the peritoneum to expose the ureter. The third illustration is identical to the first illustration, except that the sigmoid colon has been removed and the descending colon is diagonal and anastomosed to the rectum.
